Ingredients:
–     1 container of fish paste from your favourite Asian market
–     10-20 jalapeño peppers (depending on serving size)
–     Sea salt & freshly ground pepper
–     Extra virgin olive oil

Directions:
While wearing plastic gloves, cut jalapeños in half and remove the seeds. Use a butter knife to scoop & stuff the fish paste into the pepper halves. Brush on some extra virgin olive oil on top then dash with sea salt & freshly ground pepper. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 350°F then finish by broiling at 500°F for 5 minutes to give the fish stuffing a nice crust. The fish paste itself has no fishiness to it… just delicious meatiness.

Optionally, you can add your cheese of choice on top to lessen the heat of the peppers. Alternatively, if you’re too broke to afford the jalapeños, you can wrap the fish paste with cabbage leaves and add hot sauce instead. Whatever you choose to do… do give this recipe a try. All the flavors are already included in the making of the fish paste so we don’t have to add much else when we cook it at home.
